third time's a charm

I know everyone is DYING to find out our news. We are happy to announce that our third child is a "charming" baby GIRL! That's right-- we now have THREE girls!

After laboring at home for a while, Patrick decided that we needed to go to the hospital, and we arrived at about 1:30 pm. Things continued to progress pretty quickly and at 4:54 pm our new baby made her way into the world. I have to admit that I was pretty surprised when Patrick announced that it was a girl because almost everyone had been predicting it would be a boy! She was 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long, with a huge McKinnon head. And once again, I was able to do it all without any drugs, thanks to Patrick, my great "doula"!

Name to be announced soon. . .

I love that baby already and can't wait to get my hands on her. Too bad that won't be until she's 6 months old. I'm going to die waiting that long! I hope you are adjusting well. What a cutie! Congratulations on your third beautiful little girl! I can't wait to hear her name. (And I'm a little disappointed that you won't be using any of those Scottish boys' names!)

Contragulations! That is wonderful that the birth went so well and that she is so healthy. She's beautiful! I have to admit, I'm also a little surprised it wasn't a boy. And like Karey, I'm disappointed you won't be able to use any names from that list!

Congratulations! You all look so great. Babies are not usually that good looking straight from the womb, but she's sure a keeper.
And no, I think it was probably mowing the lawn more than the peach rings. Dang, in that heat?!?!
