preschool is exhausting

Berkeley gave up her nap months ago.  We fought it for a couple weeks and finally I realized I'd rather have her be cranky at dinnertime because she didn't have a nap than stay up until 10:00 pm because she wasn't tired since she did have one.

Emery and I walked over to Berkeley's preschool yesterday to pick her up after her first REAL day.  She helped me push the stroller all the way back home.  As soon as I opened the back door to walk in the house, Berkeley ran up the stairs and disappeared into her room.  I went to go feed the baby and realized it was way too quiet upstairs.  As I thought back on many other times when the house was just a little too quiet, I went up to see what kind of mischief she was into.  This is what I found:

Today I told her to go sit in her room for a while since she was having trouble being obedient.  She cried for a few minutes and then it was silent.  Yep, you guessed it.  Asleep again.  I'm jealous.  (And yes, she didn't fall asleep until almost 10:00 last night.)

its a hard thing, to nap and not to nap...its nice to have the peace during the day but if they stay up too late, that is never any fun....

i'm your first follower. :)

It's always a good thing when Corinne makes it through the day without falling asleep. It's been ages since she's taken real naps but sometimes she crashes before (or during) dinner, especially if I have to put her in the car to pick up kids from soccer, gymnastics, piano, etc. We're always going somewhere at that time of day! I heard somewhere that by the time you have your 4th or 5th child, don't bother decorating the nursery, just wallpaper the inside of the van. Isn't that the truth!

She is so cute all passed out on her bed! LOL! What a great big sister to help push baby Emery, though. :) I can and can't wait to be able to pick Jack up from school someday.. I've been thinking about you all day! I hope tomorrow goes well! We'll be praying for you!

Yesterday I felt like Berks looks. Wouldn't it be great to just fall into your bed like that with not worries. I am so glad she is loving preschool. We are thinking of you today and hope everything goes smoothly.
