always the last to know

I recently discovered a great website for my girls.  We’ve had a subscription to The Friend magazine for YEARS, but apparently I had never noticed on the back cover of the magazine that you can go to http://friend.lds.org and listen to stories from the magazine, watch video clips from the magazine, and interact with fun activities, like hidden pictures, puzzles, online coloring, and one of my girls’ favorites, memory.  For those of my readers who are also members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, did everyone else know about this before I did?

The girls were playing the Latter-day Prophets memory game while I was working on our Christmas card online (yes, I STILL haven’t finished that yet) and they were giggling and getting along so well!  (No fighting over the computer like I hear many times.)  You never know what you might overhear while they’re playing together:

“Cover your eyes, that one is creepy looking!”

“That’s the one, Berkeley!  It’s John Taylor that reminds me of a scary stranger!”

“Every time I see David O. McKay, I think of David O. Monkey!”

“Oh, no!  I can’t even look at that one!”

If you’re looking for something to keep your kids occupied this week while they’re off school and the weather is chilly, this just might be the thing!

Mm, well, yeah, I did know about that one. Xander likes it, too. Sorry I never thought to share the news. Did you find everything you need to be an amazing Primary Chorister on lds.org?

Are you the primary chorister?!?! I'm so jealous! If I aspired to callings, that would be the one. I've only ever subbed for that calling, never actually had it. I guess I'm not righteous enough.

Corinne loves that website because it's the only one I let her use on Sundays. I often catch her humming primary songs that she's learned because they're played in the background while they play memory or puzzles. And don't you love all the Primary resources available online? I just got a new calling, too--1st counselor in Primary. Mom says that all of her daughters and daughters-in-law (except Ashley) are in Primary now!

Okay, I really think you should submit that picture to The Friend! It's perfect!

I love that site! My girls love the coloring page and I love the background music that seems to calm everyone down. I am so glad you guys discovered it. The girls look so cute too!
