normal schedule

It snowed all day yesterday and into the night.  When I heard that our county had gotten 10 inches of snow, I thought there was a possibility that school could be cancelled, or at a minimum, delayed a couple hours.  Then when Patrick texted me and said it had taken him 90 minutes to get to the airport ( a trip that usually takes about 30 minutes) I KNEW the girls wouldn’t be getting on the bus at 8:45 am like usual.  I turned on the TV and saw that the school district just south of us had cancelled school.  The one just east of us was on a two hour delay.  I didn’t see anything about OUR district so I went to the district’s website to find this:  All Littleton Public Schools are on the normal schedule.  What?  Of course I can’t help but think about what it would be like in Charlotte with this kind of accumulation—school could be out for a week!

I bundled up and went into the backyard to get a few shots:

Okay, girls—stop coloring and get ready for school!

Wow you guys got dumped on - we only got about 2-3 inches Saturday evening and enjoyed blue skies and sunshine on Sunday. It's pretty rare to have school canceled around our parts too.

School was canceled here because of our snow storm, but to be fair, this is the most snow I've seen in Charlotte.

Bummer...so was the bus on time? I imagine it was on a bit of its own delayed schedule. Are you kids loving having lots of snow to play in? Mine are...winter is Tyler's favorite season.

And cute hair on those girls?? All short and sweet little bobs. Emery looks darling and grown up, and where are Berk's curls??

mar-- can you believe the bus was right on time?? i was shocked!

berkeley's hair is so much straighter here without all the humidity we had in charlotte. it makes me sad!
