i'm all smiles

While Kendall was at school today, the rest of us girls here at home all had naps. Unfortunately, two out of the three of us woke up screaming. (Thank goodness I wasn't one of the two!) Even though I woke up to two crying girls (very uncharacteristic of both of them since they usually wake up happy), I was renewed for the rest of the day! Emery has been waking up anywhere between 3 and 6 times a night for the past couple weeks, which has been a shock to my system, since prior to that, she was waking up just once. The nap today was JUST what I needed!

I bought this little jumperoo contraption at a consignment sale a few months ago for just five bucks. Yeah, I said FIVE BUCKS! We'd never had one for the other girls, and since I'd had friends who said they loved it, this was a deal I just couldn't pass up. Tonight, we put Emery in it for the first time. Hmmmmmm. I'm not really sure if she liked it. Check out this video and see what you think!

But seriously, do I really even need to buy stuff for her when this little girl is entertained by an empty bag of chocolate chips?

After a long string of rough nights, it's nice having a reminder that I've got quite a lot to smile about. . .

I used to have one of those jumping seats, too, but of course I gave it away along with everything else before Hayley was born. Some of my kids loved it, some not at all. I'm glad Emery is a happy jumper. What a cute baby!

So cute! My boys loved their jumper too - in fact, Peter fell asleep in it a few times.

I wish I had advice, but since I'm in the same boat at least I can empathize with you! :) Misery loves company, right? ;) I hope Emery is just going through a little growth spurt and will soon be sleeping ALL through the night for you!

Until then the afternoon nap should become a daily ritual! :)

Well, it seems I have matched 3 boys to your 3 girls:) They grow up so fast. She's adorable and very happy.

I've been trying to find one of those "jumperoos" for years now!

Hey, I'm still going to take you up on an Anthropologie day out in Charlotte! Why not add on lunch and a show (:

oh my gosh, mer, 3-6 times a night! ahhh! T is waking up 1-2 times a night and I'm still finding that challenging because I didn't expect it -- Lacey was sleeping through the night by 6 months and I expected the same for him. But 3-6 times! I'm just tired reading about it! I hope she reverts back to her 1-2 times and gives you some much needed longer stretches. btw, I read your previous blog about E rolling off the rug -- T has rolled off my bed on to the floor twice in the last week. You'd think I'd learn my lesson! I hope he doesn't have brain damage and I hope Dave doesn't read this comment because I only told him about one of the times... :)
