FOUR

My little Berkeley-Boo turned four years old today.  I just love Berkeley more and more with each month and year that I get to spend with her.  Here are just some of my favorite things about the birthday girl:

  • The girl has got some serious spunk.
  • She can engage any stranger that passes by us in the store in a conversation and waves to people in other cars as we’re driving.
  • She loves to dance and comes up with some great moves.  Her current favorite song to dance to is “Just Dance” by Lady GaGa.  (You should see her bust a move while strapped into her carseat and all Family Home Evening songs include an interpretive dance!)
  • She loves being a big sister and is so adorable with Emery.
  • She admires her older sister Kendall and misses her when they’re apart.
  • She picks out some crazy outfits!
  • She tells me she loves me many times a day and gives the best hugs and kisses a mom could ask for.
  • She gets excited about little things, like new toothpaste or going to the farmers’ market!
  • She’s very free with her compliments, like “you’re a great driver, Mom!” or “you’re a good cooker, Mom!”
  • She loves posing for the camera.
  • She loves going on walks and exercising with me at home.
  • She loves books and keeps herself occupied with them for long periods of time.
  • She says the sweetest things in her prayers.
  • Everything I cook for her she tells me is her favorite.
  • She referred to herself all day today in third person as “the birthday girl.”  “The birthday girl needs to go to the bathroom.”  “The birthday girl is all done with her dinner.”
