Everybody needs some “go to” recipes. You know—the ones you pull out that are tried and true and always a crowd pleaser? When I need to make a quick treat for the family or to bring to someone else, this is my “go to” recipe. I love it because not only is it yummy, but it uses all whole wheat flour and oatmeal, and the fat in the recipe is minimal and comes from canola oil instead of butter. I also love that I can pretty much guarantee that I have every ingredient on hand. I generally just bake them in a 9x13 pan and cut them into squares, but I’ve also made it in a round pizza pan as a giant cookie and decorated it with frosting for a friend’s birthday. I’ve served them warm with a scoop of frozen yogurt on top. You could add dried fruit or nuts to the recipe to suit your individual tastes. If you need a treat this weekend, try it out!

sounds good mer! put me down for 2 pans
We made these last night and they were really good. I didn't have my wheat flour upstairs, so I used white and we added more chocolate. Yummy!
I had those at your house one time. LOVED THEM!!!!
I made those last week actually. I needed a quick dessert for a potluck thing and I had it all on hand. They were delicious.
We're definitely going to have to try these. Andy and I have a hard time making it past the cookie dough stage, though. :)
