Christmas 2009

We started off the morning with our traditional picnic breakfast in the big girls’ room—whole wheat cinnamon rolls (with festive frosting!), veggie sausage patties, pineapple, and pomegranate seeds.

Once everyone was finished eating, we finally let all the girls go downstairs to see if Santa had stopped by.  It was fun watching Emery at the first Christmas where she could actually participate instead of just observing!

Kendall and Berkeley were so excited that Santa knew how much they love dress-ups!

If we had realized how much Emery would love Berkeley’s new sunglasses, we’d have gotten her a pair too!

Aunt Meredith made the girls some adorable aprons.  I made an attempt to get all three girls in the picture. . .

. . . but Emery was in one of those moods where as soon as she sees the camera she starts running the other way and laughs her head off.
Caught ya!

I scored in the gift department too.  I dare you to try to pry my new shoes off of me.

It POURED all day long, so we spent a leisurely day inside playing games, watching Christmas movies, listening to music, dancing, munching, and laughing!

Thankfully the next day was sunny so that Patrick and I could set up this:

The girls were happy to play in the four trampoline boxes while we labored for a couple hours putting it together.

Looks like it’s a HIT!

Looks like you had a great Christmas! And I can't think of a better purchase we've ever made for the kids than our trampoline. It gets used more, by all ages, than anything else I can think of (except we generally don't use it from November to March like some people can!)

We also LOVE our trampoline. We have had it for 2 1/2 years now and it is still in great shape.
