the dropoff

Anyone who attends our Church knows about the huge significance of the age of 18 months— time for NURSERY!  That means that today was Emery’s first day in there.  Patrick stayed for the first 25 minutes and then slipped out for the last hour or so.  And how did she do while he was gone?  FABULOUS!  According to the teachers, she never cried and seemed to be having a great time.  In their words, “She was very involved and engaged.”  I don’t get to drop her off or peek in on her since I’m in charge of the music for the Primary children, so hearing this news was music to my ears!

But apparently not to hers. . .IMG_1472 IMG_1475

Deven got to go to nursery yesterday too, but he's only 13 months. He was crawling all over in S.S. class so I took him in there and the leaders said he could stay and play. He loved it and didn't even blink that I was gone. Hopefully he'll still be like that at 18 months. Way to go Emery!!

Hooray! I hope Hayley will be ready for nursery in 3 months, because I'm sure ready. And Emery seems to have lots of hair--it looks thick and dark. Is it darker than Berkeley's?

kathy-- wow, your nursery leaders are sweet to let him come in that early!

mirien-- actually her hair is a bit lighter than berkeley's and it's not that thick yet, although it has grown quite a bit the past few months. the pictures are a bit deceiving apparently!

Forgot to say that when I saw your title I thought of the big singing sting ray in Finding Nemo-- it is kind of like that, isn't it? :)

A huge milestone. Parents love it...awesome when the 18-month-old loves it, too!
