For MLK Day, the girls joined me for 50% off day at Savers. It was a MADHOUSE there and we had to wait 40 minutes in line for the dressing rooms, but I think we were pretty successful.

- 1 heavy winter coat

- 1 unopened 1000 piece puzzle
- 1 vintage game

- 1 pack of watercolor paper
Grand total = $52.30
The girls had fun modeling all the clothes. Their [completely unprovoked] poses were cracking me up. We don’t watch any Project Runway or model shows around here, but somehow Kendall realized that a true model doesn’t smile!
And a couple days earlier, I picked up these beauties for me at Goodwill:
I know this brand from one I’ve seen at Dillard’s and I’m guessing they were between $80-$100 when they were originally purchased. They are in PERFECT condition and I got them for $3.50! Holla!

I was never a huge thrifter before moving to Eugene but it is now my life! There seems to be way more stores here and more stuff and there is one particular chain of stores here run by a catholic church that gets lots of donations and has great stuff. They rotate sticker color sales each week and so you can get some great deals. I have pretty much stopped buying home decor at retail price and have found amazing treasures thrifting and a couple of my favorite inexpensive vintage stores. I also find great blazers at thrift stores for under $5 also my vintage dresses are thrifted but a little more since they are vintage like $10-14. Still great deals in my mind. Its so fun and G now is obsessed with going to "vinnie's". He has a collection of ceramic houses and random toys he loves now.
