Berkeley had a piece of art selected for the community art show this year. The piece is the one at the very top of this picture. Not exactly sure what the selection process was, because in my opinion, she had some other pieces that were much better than this, but it was just a pretty cool thing that she got in!
Berkeley was so proud of herself and we told her that since it was her special night, she could pick somewhere to go out to dinner. She chose Café Rio, which opened just a couple minutes from our house only a week before. Yum! There was no school the next day cuz of parent-teacher conferences, so it was a party!
