We came home from the hospital yesterday around lunchtime and are still trying to get everything situated in our home that hasn't seen a newborn in over 3 years. Where is all the baby gear going to go? It has definitely been a shock to me since I hadn't even changed a diaper in about 9 months!
Our first night was a little rough, since she wanted to eat pretty much all night long, only taking 10-20 minute breaks in between most feedings. I'm definitely tired, but running on the baby high that I get when I look at her beautiful face.
Now that we have three girls, we have our own little version of Full House going on over here with our DJ, Stephanie, and baby Michelle. But at OUR house, we like to call them Kendall, Berkeley, and baby Emery Jane McKinnon.

Congrats! Your girls are beautiful! Molly, linked me to ya! We just had #6! Our fourth girl! And I hear ya with "where is the baby stuff gonna go!" There are 8 people living here! I invented that pillow by the way! I just never told anyone and now someone else is gonna make millions! Dang it!

First--HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! We're celebrating with fireworks, a parade, and a huge family BBQ. Sorry you can't make it. Second--I love the family picture! However, you may want to rethink the Full House comparison. Remember what happened to the mom on Full House after Michelle was born? Enough said. And speaking of full houses, I have one! I'm off to Sam's Club to buy more food! Love you! And tell Mom I miss her but I'm glad you get her for a few days.

Hope you had a great day!I also wanted to say Congrats and your blog about bringing Emery home was curious to me- you thought 3 years since having a newborn in your home was long or weird? That's quite a normal time frame. Also, you said you haven't changed a diaper in 9 months- that was a VERY short time ago! I just thought it was weird that you thought those were such long time periods! Your children are spaced just right! Maybe you know too many crazy mormons who have another baby every year or something! By the time I have a baby, it will about 7 years since we had a newborn in our house! That would be something that would need MAJOR adjusting to! Hope you are well (you look it) although I might argue you look too skinny- especially after just giving birth! 3 girls- sounds crazy but fun! I like her name. Talk to you soon! Moll
molly-- just to clarify, i didn't really mean that they were such long time periods, but just that i was out of practice with even that amount of time lapsing. when i had berkeley, kendall two weeks from turning 2, but still in diapers, so i never felt like i had really gotten out of the "baby mode." this time, because berkeley had been out of diapers for even just 9 months and is very independent, it really felt like i was doing this baby thing all again for the first time! does that make sense?
