i am totally making these. . .

Go here if you want to know how to make them too!  I am SO not a crafty person, but these look easy enough that even I could do it!  (And the girls can help—even better!)

Ug. I am totally not making these. Super cute and all, but today I just finished making a paper mache cheetah habitat and we will not be making anything with glue, at least until I can scrub the paper mache off the kitchen floor. After that disaster I moved the rest of the project outside, so now I have paint on the side of my garage. At least it isn't in my kitchen. Maybe you can make some for me since my kids are grounded from messy crafts for awhile.

Good idea! I think I'll do these with Corinne and Jillian tomorrow (it's Jill's last day off-track). They love projects but I rarely do such things anymore. I just happen to have eggs, modge podge (hope it's still good) and tons of fabric scraps. We'll see if I can fit it in between driving kids to district science fair and Alyssa's AP test.

I think I might wait on these until next year. :) It was my turn to host preschool this week and I tried a painting project with them today (turtles) and it only took about five minutes for the kids to discover how fun it was to squish the paint all over their hands. I just finished wiping down the walls (which they all managed to touch on the way to the bathroom to wash their hands) and am SO thankful for WASHABLE paint! LOL! I can't wait to see pics of how your eggs turn out, though!

maren-- sorry about your glue incident. this will be the most glue i've ever used with the girls, but i'm hoping it's okay!

mirien-- i never do crafty things with my kids either, which is why this is a BIG deal for me. let's hope that it makes me want to do MORE things instead of regretting it!

i'm glad lots of you want to make these with me (too bad we can't all make them together, although erin- you're invited if you want to since you're actually here in charlotte)! everyone better share their pictures if you do make them!
